Ugalde Trucking Co. was formed in November 1974 as a sole proprietorship, owned by Daniel G and Janet M. Ugalde, husband and wife. The company began with one bottom dump truck, and was almost exclusively engaged as a dump truck broker for a handful of small excavating and grading contractors.

In June 1978 the firm incorporated, with Daniel G. Ugalde and Janet M. Ugalde becoming the sole stockholders and directors of the corporation. During this period the company acquired more trucking equipment. It was still primarily a truck-brokering firm, but it owned 10 trucks and 13 sets of bottom dump trailers. At this time the company began to work on large projects, moving several hundred thousand yards on a single job.

In 1980 Ugalde Trucking Co., Inc. performed one of the largest projects in it’s history, trucking over one million yards of earth on the Simi Freeway. Subsequently the company continued to take on large projects as well as small ones, in both the public and private sectors.

In 1987 Ugalde Trucking Co., Inc. became a licensed contractor, and began actively bidding trucking projects. During 1987-89 we successfully completed the hauling of 1.3 million yards of earth on the Century Freeway. Recently we have transported material for the California Science Center at USC, Berth 236 Wharf in the Port of Long Beach, and The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works at San Dimas Dam.

The company has continued to add equipment to its fleet, and now owns 48 sets of double bottom dump trailers. We provide dump truck services for public and private projects. Aside from actively bidding work, we provide dump trucks on rent which include, super ten wheelers, |low side and high side end dumps, ten wheelers and double bottom dumps.
