Our third annual holiday toy drive to benefit CAST (Child Abuse Services Team) was a huge success!  Thanks to generous donations from many subhaulers and employees, we filled a whole pickup truck inside and out with toys and delivered them to CAST offices right before Christmas. 

While Ugalde Trucking is heavily involved in charity work and continuously donates time and money to various organizations, our primary focus is abused and neglected children.  We got involved with helping CAST more than 10 years ago when Janet Ugalde started volunteering there as a child advocate.  Since that time our support continues to grow from our holiday toy drive to sponsorship of a golf tournament each spring.
The child-focused, child friendly environment at CAST serves to further reduce the trauma for children involved in investigations of abuse. CAST is a place where they can play comfortably and the non-offending parents receive immediate support from experienced staff and volunteers. Toys, games, stuffed animals, snacks, lunches, and crafts are provided for the comfort of the children as donations from the community. Over 1000 children in Orange County are seen each year at the Child Abuse Services Team.
Child Abuse Services Team, a member of the National Children's Alliance, is a nationally recognized leader and role model in its child-friendly approach to conducting child abuse investigations.
